HEIGHINGTON LANE LINK FOOTPATH/CYCLEPATH, HEIGHINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
HEIGHINGTON LANE LINK FOOTPATH/CYCLEPATH
From its junction with the A6072 Heighington Bypass eastwards to Heighington Lane
An alternative route will be signed via Station Road, Beech Crescent, Heighington Lane and vice versa.
The Order is necessary to allow works to replace a gas main.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 6 months commencing from 29th June 2026, it is anticipated that it will be effective for 5 weeks.
