GORCHYMYN RHEOLEIDDIO TRAFFIG 2026
Rhoddir HYSBYSIAD drwy hyn, oherwydd digwyddiad arbennig sy’n cael ei gynnal, fod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY yn bwriadu gwneud y Gorchymyn Dros Dro uchod, at ddiben cynnal digwyddiad arbennig (ar gyfer Digwyddiadau Amrywiol yng Nghwrs Rasio Cas-gwent ar gyfer 2026 a restrir isod). Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gosod y cyfyngiadau dros dro canlynol :-
I.  Gwahardd pob cerbyd rhag mynd i mewn neu fynd ar hyd y darnau o ffyrdd a bennir yn atodlen 1 yn yr Hysbysiad hwn ac eithrio cerbydau o’r fath mewn perthynas â Digwyddiad Cwrs Rasio Cas-gwent. Bydd cyfyngiad o’r fath hefyd yn berthnasol mewn perthynas â marchogion ac i arwain neu yrru ceffylau neu unrhyw anifeiliaid eraill.
II.  Dim mynediad i’r ffordd a bennir yng nghynllun 1 ac eithrio’r cerbydau sy’n gysylltiedig â Digwyddiad Maes Rasio Cas-gwent ynghyd â’r gwasanaethau brys, yr heddlu, y frigâd dân, at ddibenion ambiwlans, ac i sefydliadau sy’n gyfrifol am ddelio â cholli cyflenwadau nwy, trydan, dŵr neu gyfathrebu electronig, i safleoedd yn yr ardal ac ar gyfer cael gwared ar unrhyw rwystr yn y traffig, sy’n golygu bod angen dod â cherbydau i mewn i ran o’r Ffyrdd.
III.  Mae’r adrannau perthnasol o unrhyw Orchmynion presennol sy’n ymwneud â’r darnau o ffyrdd dan sylw wedi’u hatal drwy hyn am gyfnod y Gorchymyn Dros Dro hwn i’r graddau y maent yn effeithio ar y darnau o ffyrdd dan sylw a’r llwybr amgen, ac er mwyn osgoi amheuaeth bydd hyn yn parhau am hyd y Gorchymyn hwn.
IV.  cyflwyno gostyngiad yn y terfyn cyflymder i’r darn o ffordd a bennir yn atodlen 3, gostyngiad yn y terfyn cyflymder o 50mya i 30mya.
V.  gwahardd pob cerbyd rhag troi i’r dde o’r A466 i mewn i Gât 2 Maes Rasio Cas-gwent fel y nodir yn atodlen 2 i’r hysbysiad hwn.
Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 6ed Mehefin 2026 a bydd yn weithredol ar yr amseroedd a bennir isod ar gyfer a disgwylir iddo fod ar waith rhwng yr oriau a’r dyddiadau a ddangosir hefyd:

NOTICE
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A AS AMENDED BY
THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994 MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A466, CHEPSTOW, MONMOUTHSHIRE)
(SPECIAL EVENTS – CHEPSTOW RACECOURSE EVENTS 2026) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that due to a special event being held, MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make the above- mentioned Temporary Order, for the purpose of holding a special event (for Multiple Chepstow Racecourse Events for 2026 listed below). The effect of the Order is to impose the following temporary restrictions :-
I.  Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in schedule 1 in this Notice except such vehicles in relation to the Chepstow Racecourse Event. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to equestrians and to the leading or driving of horses or any other animals.
II.  No access to the road specified in scheme 1 except for the vehicles related to the Chepstow Racecourse Event together with the emergency services, police, fire brigade, ambulance purposes, and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas electricity water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction in the traffic, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of the Roads.
III.  The relevant sections of any existing Orders relating to the said lengths of roads are hereby suspended for the period of this Temporary Order insofar as they affect the said lengths of roads and the alternative route, and for the avoidance of doubt this shall prevail for the duration of this Order.
IV.  to introduce a speed limit reduction to the length of road specified in schedule 3, a reduction of the speed limit from 50mph to 30mph.
V.  to prohibit all vehicles from turning right from A466 into Chepstow Racecourse Gate 2 as stated in schedule 2 of this notice.
The Order shall come into operation on the 6th June 2026 and will operate at the times specified below for and is also expected to be in operation between the hours and dates shown:


SCHEDULE 1:
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
A466 (Chepstow to St Arvans) Layby
Temporarily close the layby on the A466 Northbound adjacent to Chepstow Racecourse.
SCHEDULE 2: PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN
A vehicle situated in a road in Column 1 of the table below may not turn right into the corresponding road in Column 2 of the table:





SCHEDULE 3: TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT
A466, Chepstow
A reduction of the speed limit from 50mph to 30mph Speed limit reduction starting ~230m from its junction with Devauden Road for a distance of approximately ~1.00km
