NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to install a signalised puffin crossing on Arnot Hill Road, Arnold/ Thackeray’s Lane, Woodthorpe, between Sandfield Road, Arnold and Wadham Road, Woodthorpe in the Borough of Gedling:
The proposals will incorporate a controlled area indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking, stopping and loading will be prohibited. The extents of the controlled area are: -
ARNOT HILL ROAD, ARNOLD (both sides)
From a point 15 metres north-west of the centre line of Sandfield Road in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Thackeray’s Lane, Woodthorpe.
THACKERAY’S LANE, WOODTHORPE (both sides)
From its junction with Arnot Hill Road, Arnold in a southeasterly direction for 37 metres.
The crossing is being installed to improve pedestrian facilities and to help reduce traffic speeds on approaches to the proposed crossing on Arnot Hill Road, Arnold and Thackeray’s Lane, Woodthorpe.
Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 24th June 2026. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.
