NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BABWORTH FOOTPATH NO. 9) DIVERSION ORDER (2026)
The above Order, made on 20th May 2026, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the whole width of that part of Babworth Footpath No.9 commencing from Point A [SK 6881 7869] proceeding in a South West direction across a field for a distance of approximately 321 metres to Point B [SK 6855, 7849] to a line commencing from Point A [SK 6881 7869] proceeding in a Westerly direction along field edge for a distance of approximately 280 metres to Point C [SK 6853, 7869] at the junction with Bridleway 5 having a width of 1.5 metres as shown on the order map.
A copy of the Order, Order Map and Statement of Reasons may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive 27th May 2026 until 24th June 2026. Alternatively, copies of the Order and Map can be posted out or emailed if required. To request a copy of the Order or to make an appointment please contact the Nottinghamshire County Council Customer Contact Centre on: 0300 500 8080 or email: countryside.access@nottscc. gov.uk . The documents will also be available to view at the offices of Bassetlaw District Council, Queen’s Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Notts, S80 2AH and at Retford Public Library, 17 Churchgate, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 6PE during their respective normal opening hours until 24th June 2026. Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by the Countryside Access Team at the address given below not later than 24th June. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Nottinghamshire County Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
