DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND CLEARWAY) ORDER 2026

STATION ROAD, MIDDLETON ST GEORGE

Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

1. No stopping at any time (clearway); and

2. the prohibition of the driving of vehicles on

STATION ROAD

Phase 1 - From the south side of Haxby Road junction southwards to the north side of Mount Pleasant Close junction

Phase 2 - From the north side of Mount Pleasant Close junction southwards to the southern boundary of 5 The Square

An alternative route will be signed via Sadberge Road, A67, Mill Lane, Yarm Road and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 8th June 2026. It is anticipated that Phase 1 will be effective from 8th June for 2 days and Phase 2 on 10th June for patching works. Resurfacing and road lining works will take place at a later date within the 18 months. The restrictions above shall only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
