What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) (CARNWATH ROAD)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate construction works in the above-named location; it intends to make an Order the effect of which temporarily prohibit traffic and introduce "at any time" waiting restrictions in a section of the above-named road.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed: no person or vehicle shall enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in that section of the footway of Carnwath Road on the north side, from opposite No.177 Carnwath Road to the junction with Broomhouse Lane.

3. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed: no person or vehicle shall enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in that section of the footway of Broomhouse Lane on the east side, from No. 50 Broomhouse Lane to the junction with Carnwath Road.

4. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 would be via the opposite southern footway in Carnwath Road.

5. An alternative route for traffic in article 3 would be via the opposite western footway in Broomhouse Lane.

6. Exemptions would be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

7. The Order would come into operation on the 22nd June 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner. 

8. Works would be expected to commence on Monday 22nd June 2026 and last until 27th December 2026. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
