TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (LANCASTER ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they have made a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Lancaster Road from outside of number 55 to the junction of Portobello Road.
The Road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Wednesday 27th May 2026 until 18.00hrs on Friday 29th May 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Lancaster Road, Basing Street, Westbourne Park Road, Ladbroke Grove, Lancaster Road, in both directions.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
- anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
- Anything done in connection with the execution of said works
