What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

PEARSON PARK PEEL PROJECT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
The entry into Park Road on Park Avenue and Pearson Avenue and the whole of Pearson Park, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during the charity fun run at Pearson Park. 

Barriers will be placed at both ends of the closed roads, and each access point will be manned by stewards to ensure the safety of runners and pedestrians. Access will still be maintained to residents during the closure. 

Designated parking for the event will be available at Harris & Co supermarket, providing a convenient option for those arriving by car. 

Two volunteer parking attendants will be on site to help manage traffic flow and provide assistance as needed. Blue badge parking will also be accommodated, with existing disabled parking bays remaining accessible and stewards on hand to assist if required. Foot access to Pearson Park will remain open throughout the event.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 21st June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 10.00am and 2.30pm on 21st June 2026.

WILLIAM STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:- William Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Resurfacing works to be carried out on William Street as part of the A63 Castle Street improvement scheme.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on 22nd June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7am to 3pm on 22nd June 2026.

PARAGON STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
Paragon Street, Outside Hull City Hall, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Roofing works on the Town Hall. 
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 28th June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7am to 5pm on 28th June 2026.
