TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 149925739 : The City of Manchester (Lower Byrom Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Lower Byrom Street One Way from Great John Street to Quay Street (permitted direction of travel). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Quay Street, Deansgate, Liverpool Road, Lower Byrom Street & Quay Street, Atherton Street, Great John Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate sewer works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 9th June 2026 to 10th June 2026 between the hours of 21:00 and 03:00. The Order shall come into operation on 9th June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 26th May 2026
ORDER NO. MCC 148666474 : The City of Manchester (Tib Street & Back Piccadilly, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & Suspension of One-Way Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Tib Street from Church Street to Back Piccadilly & on Back Piccadilly from Tib Street to Oldham Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dale Street, Oldham Street, Back Piccadilly. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate tower crane dismantle. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 9th June 2026 to 16th June 2026 between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00 [Back up Dates 16/06/2026 - 23/06/2026]. The order shall come into operation on 22nd April 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
