RUSSELL COLT STREET, COATBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
On 18 May 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on bridge renewal project) on Russell Colt Street, Coatbridge from Coltswood Road B804 to Stewart Street by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: When signposted: Coltswood Road B804, West George Street, Stewart Street
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0900 hours on Monday 1 June 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Thursday, 11 June 2026.
