What is happening?

CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL CASTELL-NEDD PORT TALBOT (STATION TERRACE ROAD TO GALLTCWM TERRACE, BRYN) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF VEHICLE WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily suspend the 18-tonne vehicle weight restriction on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force.

The Order is necessary to enable Welsh Water and its contractors’ vehicles to access a local reservoir.

The Order will come into force on the 15th June 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

SCHEDULES
Station Terrace Road from the junction with Galltcwm Terrace in a southerly direction for a distance of 35 metres along its length.
