The Council has made the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, Chetwynd Road, Newport (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, whilst highway improvement works are being undertaken. The order becomes operational from the 26/5/26 between the hours of 9:30 and 16:00.
The following road is affected: Chetwynd Rd, Newport from its jcn with Forton Rd to its jcn with Edgmond Rd. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 27/5/26. Alternative routes will be signed on site.
