The East Sussex (U6630 New Road, Northiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

New Road – from the junction with A28 Perryman Cross to the junction with C97 Mill Corner.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C97 Mill Corner – A28 Perryman Cross and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 June 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 10 and 11 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Ludpit Lane – from the junction with C213 Willards Hill to the junction with C213 Oxenbridge Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C213 Willards Hill – C18 Brightling Road, Station Road, High Street, Northbridge Street – A21(T) Northbridge Street roundabout, Silverhill, London Road – A265 Station Road, Haremere Hill, High Street – C213 Oxenbridge Lane and vice versa.

Robertsbridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Redlands Lane – from the junction with A21 Robertsbridge bypass to Redlands Farmhouse.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 28 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 May and 1 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of footpath; Temporary Footpath Closure

Grange Avenue – from the junction with U3027 Grange Avenue to the junction with U3026 Ghyllside Avenue. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A21(T) Whydown Hill, New Road – B2244 Tollgate Road – C22 Chapel Hill, Cottage Lane, Harts Green and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 May and 8 June 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6550 Western Road, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road.

Temporary Road Closure

Western Road – from the junction with U6551 Sackville Road to the junction with U6552 Devonshire Square. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6551 Sackville Road – B2182 Sackville roundabout, Marina – U6552 Devonshire Road, Devonshire Square and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 29 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under

Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:

Temporary Road Closure

Quarry Hill – from the junction with U3128 Maze Hill to the junction with U3128 Maze Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3128 Maze Hill.

The Order commences 25 May 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 13 April 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 4 May 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.  The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 25 and 29 May depending upon the weather conditions.

Ashburnham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Herrings Road – from the junction with C18 Ponts Green to the junction with U6119 Slivericks Lane. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Herrings Road, South Lane – B2096 Woods Corner, Battle Road, Darwell Hill, Kane Hythe Road – A271 Beechdown Wood, Kitchenham Road – C18 Hammer Hill, Church Road, Ponts Green and vice versa. The Order commences 25 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 27 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Northiam Road – from the junction with U6621 Ellenwhorne Lane to the junction with U6969 Stockwood Meadow.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2165 Northiam Road, Cripps Corner Road – B2089 Catts Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road – A28 Northiam Road – B2165 Horns Cross, Northiam Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 9 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 28 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under

The Order commenced 23 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
