What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Frome Temporary Closure of Water Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Water Lane - from the junction with Rossiters Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 20 metres. This Order will enable Network Plus to replace a leaking fire hydrant on behalf of Bristol Water.
The Order becomes effective on 22nd May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 26th May 2026 and last until 28th May 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
