What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of North Cheriton Temporary Closure of Higher North Cheriton Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Higher North Cheriton Road - from the junction with Hardings Lane to the junction with North Cheriton Road. A total distance of 255 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out new customer connection works.

The Order becomes effective on 22nd May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 26th May 2026 and last until 29th May 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 4 days.
