Longmoor Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Carry Out Large Scale Bespoke Carriageway Patching Repairs
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LONGMOOR LANE, ORSTON AND SCARRINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (R26-097)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Orston and Scarrington in the Borough of Rushcliffe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Longmoor Lane, Orston and Scarrington - For its entire length
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:00 hours on Tuesday 26th May 2026
Until 15:30 hours on Monday 15th June 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Hawksworth Road, Scarrington - Main Street, Scarrington - New Lane, Scarrington - New Lane, Aslockton - Abbey Lane, Aslockton - Main Street, Aslockton - Cliffhill Lane, Aslockton - Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Tuesday 26th May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out large scale bespoke carriageway patching repairs.
