What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Hemington Temporary Closure of Hammer Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Hammer Lane - from the junction with Row Lane, southwards for a total distance of 21 metres. This Order will enable Network Plus to carry new supply works on behalf of Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks.
The Order becomes effective on 5th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 8th June 2026 and last until 12th June 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
