Somerset Council Parish of Frome Temporary Closure of Portway

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Portway - from the junction with Garsdale to the junction with Alexandra Road. A total distance of 27 metres.

This Order will enable Bristol Water to carry out lead replacement works.

The Order becomes effective on 5th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th June 2026 and last until 14th June 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 2 days.
