(GLANDERSTON ROAD, NEWTON MEARNS) TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2026
On the 30th April 2026 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Glanderston Road, Newton Mearns between junction with Fingalton Road and Balgraystone Road, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works scheduled to be carried out between Monday 15th June to Friday 26th June 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative Route: Balgraystone Road – Springfield Road – Aurs Road – Darnley Road – Parkhouse Road – Nitshill Road – Stewarton Road – Aurs Road – Stewarton Road And Vice Versa.
