Flintshire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC NOTICE

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

BABELL

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 22nd May 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Pant Crossroads to Llyn Du Crossroads Babell, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate a critical upgrade of overhead power lines with associated works by Morrison Energy Services (Transmission Networks).

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on the 8th June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The closure is expected to last for approximately 5 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

FLINT

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 22nd May 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Halkyn Road, Flint in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate a critical upgrade of overhead power lines with associated works by Morrison Energy Services (Transmission Networks).

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on the 8th June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The closure is expected to last for approximately 6 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

QUEENSFERRY

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 22 May 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Glynne Street, between its junctions with Dundas Street and Chester Road East, Queensferry, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate gas mains replacement with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on the 8th June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The closure is expected to last for approximately 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 22nd May 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Nant Road, Pentre Halkyn, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate a critical upgrade of overhead power lines with associated works by Morrison Energy Services (Transmission Networks).

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on the 8th June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The closure is expected to last for approximately 6 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.
