Gloucestershire - Multiple Road Closures
What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF Z6300 FOOTWAY FROM GOLDEN MILLER ROAD TO SWINDON LANE (SWINDON PARISH) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the Z6300 footway from Golden Miller Road to Swindon Lane from its junction with footway on Swindon Road to its junction with footway on Golden Miller Road for a distance of approximately 80 metres.
The reason for the closures is to allow for removal of blockages in Openreach ducting.
The said footway is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 9th June 2026 to 18:00hrs on 11th June 2026 only or until the works are complete. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Alternative Route: As signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will not be maintained as works include excavations on footway.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE U40421 WITHYBRIDGE LANE (UCKINGTON PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U40421 Withybridge Lane from its junction with A4019 to outside of the property known as ‘Millhouse Farm’ for a distance of approximately 745 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works linked to the M5 Junction 10 Improvement Scheme.
The said road is expected to be closed on from 4th June 2026 until 9th February 2027 only.
However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
