NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under Section 15(4) of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974 have resolved that vehicles parked with one or more wheels resting on the footway, and wholly within the areas delineated by white lines along the road or length of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice, shall be exempt from Section 15(1) of the said Act which makes it an offence to park on the footway.
The resolution shall take effect from 22nd June 2026.

Meopham Road, Mitcham; the north-east side, between its junction with Grove Road and its junction with Ebenezer Walk.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Sections 14(1) And 15(2) London Borough Of Merton (Worple Road, Wimbledon) - (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2026
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate redevelopment works and associated crane works at No. 19 Worple Road, they have made an Order under sections 14(1) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Worple Road.
2. During the redevelopment works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in: -
(a) Worple Road,
(i) the north-west side, from a point 15 metres south-west of its junction with Worple Road Mews south-westward for a distance of 36 metres;
(ii) the south-east side, from a point 57 metres south-west of its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road, south-westward for a distance of 11 metres.
3. During the crane works, no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Worple Road, from its junction with Worple Road Mews south-westward for a distance of 75 metres; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the street or length of street specified in paragraph 2(a) above; or
(c) proceed in the north-western footway of Worple Road, from its junction with Worple Road Mews south-westward for a distance of 52 metres.
4. Any designated parking place or taxi stand situated in the road or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) and 3(a) above will be suspended.
5. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using one or more of the following roads: - Coombe Lane, Francis Grove, Gladstone Road, Hartfield Road, Lambton Road, Pepys Road, St George’s Road, Sir Cyril Black Way, The Broadway, Wimbledon Bridge and Wimbledon Hill Road.
7. Nothing in the Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises in or adjacent to the length of Worple Road specified in sub-paragraph 3(c) above;
(e) so as to prevent vehicular access to the Sainsbury car park.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order will come into operation on Friday 22nd May 2026, and the Council is satisfied that the works will take more than 18 months to complete. The Order will remain in force until such time as all the relevant works are completed, which is anticipated to be 31st December 2027, whereupon it will then be revoked by a further Order made by the Council.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) - London Borough Of Merton - (Robinson Road, Colliers Wood) - (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2026
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate an electrical mains installation in Robinson Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to: -
(a) enter or proceed in Robinson Road, from its junction with High Street, Colliers Wood, eastward for a distance of 18 metres;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above;
(c) enter or proceed in the southern footway of the length of Robinson Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions and suspensions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed by one or more of the following roads: High Street, Colliers Wood Marlborough Road and Park Road.
6. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order would come into operation on Monday 15th June 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by Friday 19th June 2026. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) - London Borough Of Merton - (West Barnes Lane And Burlington Road, New Malden) - (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) - Order 2026
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water works in West Barnes Lane, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in West Barnes Lane and Burlington Road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to: -
(a) enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane, between its junction with Linkway and its junction with Burlington Road;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in
(i) the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above; and
(ii) Burlington Road, both sides, from a point 60 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of West Barnes Lane, north-east for a distance of 120 metres.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Burlington Road, Malden Way, Malden Road, Motspur Park, West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order would come into operation on Saturday 13th June 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by Sunday 14th June 2026. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required. Dated 21 May 2026.
