Folders Lane East – from the junction with C71 Middleton Common Lane to the junction with B2112 Ditchling Road. Grange Road – from the junction with U5162 Southover High Street to the junction with U5119 St Pancras Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5119 St Pancras Road, Rotten Row, Antioch Street – A277 High Street, Western Road – C7 Winterbourne Hollow, Bell Lane – B2193 Southover High Street – U5162 Southover High Street and vice versa. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Five Ashes Road – from the junction with C12 Cottage Hill to the junction with A267 Mayfield Road.

Diversion via C12 Cottage Hill – B2101 High Cross, Bicycle Arms Road – A267 Argos Hill, Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield bypass, Wellbrook, Mayfield Road – C12 Horleigh Green Road and vice versa. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 15 June and 14 July 2026.

Castle Hill – from the junction with C209 Treblers Road to the junction with C12 Five Ashes Road.

Diversion via C209 Treblers Road, Mottins Hill – B2100 Rotherfield Road, Church Road, High Street – B2101 South Street, Mayfield Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 8 and 12 June 2026. Cottage Hill – from the junction with C209 Castle Hill to the junction with B2101 High Cross.

Diversion via C209 Treblers Road, Mottins Hill – B2100 Rotherfield Road, Church Road, High Street – B2101 South Street, Mayfield Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 8 June and 14 July 2026.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible. Blatchington Hill – from the junction with U5441 Upper Belgrave Road to the junction with U5446 Sutton Drove. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5441 Upper Belgrave Road – U5423 Lexden Road – U5431 Vale Road – U5446 Sutton Drove and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Manor Way – from the junction with U7766 The Drive to No. 7. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7766 The Drive – C10 Rocks Road – U7513 Snatts Road – U7766 Claremont Rise and vice versa.

To facilitate these works it will be necessary to revoke the one way order to allow for 2 way traffic flow. The Order commences 28 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. THE EAST SUSSEX

(PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY FRAMFIELD 62, UCKFIELD 37) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that the above Order, made on 15 May 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by upgrading two public footpaths as follows:

A route comprising two public bridleways in the civil parishes of Framfield and Uckfield, as detailed below, and as shown on the Order Plan between points A – B – C.

The public bridleway, presently recorded as footpath Uckfield 37, commences at point A, the extent of public highway Hempstead Lane (U7772), at TQ 4855 2164. From point A the public bridleway continues in a south-easterly direction for approximately 41 metres to point B, the Parish Boundary, at TQ 4858 2161. Between point A and B, the public bridleway Uckfield 37 will have an average width of 8  metres.

The public bridleway, presently recorded as public footpath Framfield 62, commences at the Parish boundary at Railway Line, at point B, at TQ 4858 2161. From point B the public bridleway passes in a south-easterly direction for approximately 600 metres, to point C, the extent of public highway Spurlings Lane (U7866), at TQ 490 212. Between point B and C, the public bridleway Framfield 62 will have a width varying between 4 and 9 metres.

The total length of public bridleway to be added is approximately 641 metres.
