NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U70604 - Greytree Road-Ross- On-Wye, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U70604- Greytree Road- Ross-On-Wye, from junction of Nursery Rd to the Brookend St roundabout. Grid Ref: 360086/224464.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via for westbound traffic via the B4234 onto Kyrle St onto Trenchard St and for eastbound traffic via Trenchard St onto New St onto Broad St and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to reinforcement cabling works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 29th of May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 15 days.
