What is happening?

DERBY CITY COUNCIL

(Various Minor Amendments) 
(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.155) Order 2025

Derby City Council has made this Traffic Regulation Order on 21st May 2026, which comes into effect on 25th May 2026 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.

The purpose of the Order will be to introduce:
Brierfield Way
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) from opposite the junction with the Hollow for an approximate distance of 7m

• Proposed Revocation of No Stopping (Mon-Fri 8.15am-9.15am & 3pm-4pm) from opposite the junction with The Hollow eastwards for an approximate distance of 20m

• Proposed Revocation of No Waiting (At Any Time) from the junction with The Hollow eastwards for an approximate distance of 20m 

Wayfaring Road
• Proposed No Waiting (Mon-Friday 8am-6pm) from its junction with Bishops Drive for an approximate distance of 60m in a South Westerly direction on the District Centre access side

Old Hall Road
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) from the end of the existing No Waiting (At Any Time) adjacent to Inglenook Court Apartments, 7 Old Hall Road for an approximate distance of 5m in a Southerly direction

Angelica Close
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) from its junction with Stenson Road opposite number 515 for an approximate distance of 32m to number 525 and from Stenson Road for an approximate distance of 14m into Angellica Close on both sides of the carriageway in a Westerly direction

Dover Street
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) at its junction with St James
Road

Catterick Drive
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) from its junction with Vicarage Road for an approximate distance of 10m in a Westerly direction on the North and South sides of the carriageway

Leaper Street
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time)
1. From outside number 71 Leaper Street spanning an approximate distance of 6.3m into Watson Street in a Westerly direction

2. From the existing Permit Holders Only (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) restriction spanning an approximate distance of 14m into Watson Street in a Westerly direction

West Service Road
• Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time) From the existing restriction
of No Waiting (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) spanning around Western
Service Road into East Service Road adjacent to the Ambulance
station on both sides of the carriageway

Wheeldon Avenue
• Proposed Revocation of existing Car Club Permit Holders
Only (No Exemption for Disabled Badge Holders) from outside Number 112 for an approximate distance of 5m in a Northerly direction

Copies of the Order and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro 

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the Acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
