NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1227- Grafton Lane - Grafton, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1227- Grafton Lane-Grafton, close to the A49 junction heading north for approx 470mtrs. Grid Ref: 349654/235805 to 349689/235585.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A49 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to new ducting works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 26th of May 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 4 days (9.30-15.30hrs).
