What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(BLAKE ROAD, LOCKLEAZE, BRISTOL) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians that length of Blake Road which extends from Unknown Footpath between Blake Road and Cotman Walk westwards for 30 metres.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 8th June 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 8th June 2026 and 19th June 2026).

Vehicles: None available
Pedestrians: Blake Road (part unaffected), Constable Road, Landseer Avenue, Cotman Walk and vice versa

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 544 AND PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 596
SHIREHAMPTON, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of public rights of way specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public rights of way and will be operative from 8th June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Right of Way 549 (Rear Access to Nibley Road Sports Ground), Nibley Road, Rear Access to Nibley Road Sports Ground, Unnamed Footpath between Rear Access to Nibley Road Sports Ground and Public Right of Way 596 and vice versa

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians those lengths of Public Right of Way 8 which extend:-

(a) from Corbet Close north eastwards for 36 metres; and

(b) from Musgrove Close north westwards for 49 metres.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and will be operative from 8th June 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Right of Way 8 (part unaffected), Public Right of Way 9, Public Right of Way 12, Public Right of Way 11, Lawerence Weston Road, Attwood Drive, (Corbet Close), Long Cross, Musgrove Close and vice versa

(SHAMROCK ROAD, EASTVILLE, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Shamrock Road which extends from Fishponds Road southwards for 10 metres. 

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 15th June 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 15th June 2026 and 19th June 2026).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Fishponds Road, Royate Hill, Stonebridge Park, Shamrock Road (part unaffected) and vice versa

(MOON STREET, ST. PAULS, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES)
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND CONTRA-FLOW CYCLING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be:- 

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Moon Street which extends from Backfields to North Street; and

2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing:-
(a) one way traffic working in a south westerly direction in Moon
Street; and

(b) one way traffic working in a south westerly direction and contra-flow cycle lane working in a north easterly direction in Moon Street –
so as to allow access and egress for works vehicles.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 16th June 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 16th June 2026 and 30th September 2026).

Vehicles: Upper York Street, Wilder Street, Brunswick Street, City Road, Stokes Croft, North Street

Pedal cycles: Upper York Street, City Road, Stokes Croft, North Street and vice versa
