Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 23 May 2028.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close to all pedestrians Footpath 59 & Footpath 58, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree as specified below.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Duck End, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point with The Causeway to its junction with Howe Street a distance of approximately 225m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th June 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2387788 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Howe Street, B1057, Claywall Bridge, North Street, B1054, B1055, B1053, B1057, The Causeway and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lancaster Way, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Coldnailhurst Avenue for a distance of approximately 235m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th June 2026 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402138 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Peg Millars Lane, Fairstead in the District of Braintree, from a point 820m north east then south east of its junction with Fairstead Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th June 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGN201P – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Terling Hall Road, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 430m north west then north east of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a north easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hawkspur Green Road, Little Sampford/Little Sampford Road, Little Bardfield/Bell Lane, Great Bardfield in the District of Uttlesford and District of Braintree, from the junction of Hall Road to the junction of High Street a distance of approximately 4320m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2404684, EP201EH2406506 & EP201EH2406507 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Kelvedon Road a distance of approximately 730m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2393006 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Kelvedon Road, Braxted Road, Henry Dixon Road, Oak Road, Church Road, Park Road, Parkgate Road, Hollow Road, Church Hill, Church Street, High Street and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.15) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 14th May 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.
