PUBLIC NOTICE

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (20 MPH, 30 MPH & 50 MPH SPEED LIMITS) (VARIOUS ROADS) (PARISH OF SLIMBRIDGE) (STROUD DISTRICT) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 82 & 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to:

  1. introduce a 20mph speed limit on the roads detailed in Schedule 1 below; and
  2. introduce a 30mph speed limit on the roads detailed in Schedule 2 below; and
  3. introduce a 50mph speed limit on the roads detailed in Schedule 3 below; and
  4. introduce a 30mph speed limit on the section of Dursley Road (C348) where street lighting is present, thereby making this section and any adjoining side roads that meet the street lighting requirements subject to a 30mph speed limit by virtue of street lighting.

The lengths of roads fall within the Parish of Slimbridge in the Stroud District within the County of Gloucestershire.

Any objections or representations to the proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to ADL Traffic & Highways Engineering Ltd, ADL House, Oaklands Business Park, Armstrong Way, Yate, BS37 5NA or emailed to info@adltraffic.co.uk no later than the 12th June 2026. (Please quote reference 5227-135). Representations of support will also be received during this period.
