The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.7) Order 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 18 May 2026 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be:
a) To remove 10.9 metres of free parking bay and 6.9 metres of adjacent single yellow line on the south-east side of Pampisford Road, opposite Nos. 45 and 47, and replace them with a 17.8 metre length of “at any time” double yellow lines.
b) To remove 40 metres of “at any time” double yellow lines on the south-east side and 40 metres of single yellow from the north-west side of Pampisford Road (outside/opposite Nos. 39 to 45) and replace them with a new raised zebra crossing and zig-zag markings.
3. Copies of the Orders, which come into operation on 22 May 2026, and of all associated Orders, can be inspected between 10am and 6pm, at Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET for a period of six weeks from the date the Orders were made. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)
ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
UPPER SELSDON ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works on behalf of BT Openreach, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Upper Selsdon Road, South Croydon.
2. During the work, the road will be closed to vehicular traffic outside Nos. 113 to 141 Upper Selsdon Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for traffic will be via B275, A2022, B269, Mayfield Road, Carlton Road, B275 and reversed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle attending for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
MANCHESTER ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate utilities installation work, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Manchester Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Manchester Road will be closed between its junction with Heath Road and common boundary of Nos. 20 and 22 Manchester Road.
3. During the works, the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as detailed below.
• Via Heath Road, Luna Road, and St Paul’s Road.
• Via Heath Road, Norfolk Road, and St Paul’s Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 03 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 14 June 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate blockage removal and fibre connection works on behalf of BT Openreach, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Pollards Hill North, Norbury.
2. During the work Pollards Hill North will be closed to vehicular traffic at its junction with London Road.
3. The Order will come into operation on 04 June 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Pollards Hill East and Pollards Hill South.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas, electric and water service connections by SGN, UKPN and Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Coombe Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Coombe Road will be closed at its junction with Edridge Road.
3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.
• Via Coombe Road, Lower Coombe Street, Pump Pall North, The Croydon Flyover, and Park Lane A212.
4. The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 31 May 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction will not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
