SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily all traffic:

A) Preshute Lane (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 100m in an easterly direction to enable Thames Water Utilities Limited to carry out installation of water monitoring equipment and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 15 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 3 days. R) C77 (Part), Great Somerford; from its junction with Shipton Lane to its junction with Manor Park to enable Openreach Limited to carry out overhead cabling works and other associated works. Alternative route via C77 (unaffected length) – C82 – C66 – C77 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. S) C38 (Part), West Overton; from its property known as Kennet Valley Church of England Primary for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out excavate to lay 95m new duct. Alternative route via C73 – A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 and the closure will be required for 4 days. T) A345 (Part), Wilcot, Huish and Oare; from its junction with Pound Lane to its junction with Huish Road to enable Openreach Limited to carry out chamber repairs and associated works. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) – B3087 – A346 – A4 – A345 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Orders A) to T) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to temporarily close to all vehicles (except residents displaying a valid permit):

a) High Street, Avebury (including Church Walk Spur) – from its junction with A4361 for its entire length. And to temporarily close to all vehicles, motor propelled vehicles and caravans:

b) Byway 1, Avebury; from its junction with A4 (and car park) to its junction with Byway 5, Avebury.

c) Byway 10, Winterbourne Monkton; from its junction with Byway 1, Avebury to its junction with Byway 40, Fyfield.

d) Byway 40, Fyfield; from its junction with Byway 10, Winterbourne Monkton to its junction with Byway 12, Berwick Bassett.

e) Byway 12, Berwick Bassett; from its junction with Byway 40, Fyfield to its junction with Byway 10, Winterbourne Bassett.

f) Byway 10, Winterbourne Bassett; from its junction with Byway 12, Berwick Bassett to its junction with C18.

g) Byway 3, Avebury; from its junction with Byway 5, Avebury to its junction with Byway 1, Avebury.

h) Byway 4, Avebury; from its junction with Bridleway 4, Avebury to its junction with Byway 3, Avebury.

i) Byway 5, Avebury; from its junction with Byway 1, Avebury (Ridgeway) to its junction with Byway 3, Avebury.

j) Byway 9, Winterbourne Bassett; from its junction with Byway 10, Winterbourne Bassett to its junction with Byway 14, Winterbourne Bassett.

k) Byway 14, Berwick Bassett; from its junction with the unclassified road to its junction with Byway 9, Winterbourne Bassett.

And to introduce a temporary No Waiting at Any Time restriction applying to both sides of the following lengths of road:

l) A4361 (Part), Avebury and Winterbourne Monkton – from its junction with A4 Beckhampton Roundabout, Avebury to its junction with Mill Lane, Winterbourne Monkton.

m) Nash Road, Avebury (including spur) – from its junction with A4361 to its junction with South Street.

n) South Street, Avebury; from its junction with Nash Road to its junction with Longfields.

o) Longfields, Avebury (including spur) – from its junction with A4361 to its junction with South Street.

p) Bray Street, Avebury (including spurs) – from its junction with South Street for its entire length.

q) Trusloe Cottages, Avebury – from its junction with Bray Street for its entire length.

r) High Street, Avebury (including Church Walk spur) – from its junction with A4361 for its entire length.

s) Green Street, Avebury – from its junction with A4361 for its entire length.

t) B4003, Avebury – from its junction with the A4361 to its junction with the A4.

u) Junction with A4361 North West to Manor Farm (known locally as Church Road), Winterbourne Monkton; from its junction with A4361 for its entire length.

v) A4361 Layby, Winterbourne Monkton; from its junction with A4361 north west to Manor Farm (known locally as Church Road) for its entire length.

w) Winterbourne Monkton, Winterbourne Monkton; from its junction with A4361 for its entire length.

x) Mill Lane, Winterbourne Monkton; from its junction with the A4361 to Windmill House.

y) A4361 Layby, Winterbourne Monkton; east side – from a point approximately 250m south of its junction with Mill Lane for its entire length.

z) A4 (Part), Avebury and West Overton; from its junction with A4 Beckhampton Roundabout to The Bell Inn Public House, West Overton including the layby on the north east side of the A4 (east of junction with B4003).

aa) Gunsite Lane, Avebury and East Kennett; from its junction with A4 for its entire length.

ab) A4 Layby, Avebury; south side – from a point approximately 1km from its junction with Beckhampton Roundabout for its entire length.

Parking permits for residents parking only are issued by Avebury Parish Council and must be clearly displayed during the period of the closures.

These Orders are to ensure public safety during the period of the Avebury Summer Solstice. These Orders will come into operation at 08:00 on 15 June 2026 and are expected to remain in force until 12:00 noon on 23 June 2026.

The Orders for sections (a) and (l) – (ab) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The Orders for sections (b) – (k) will have a maximum duration of 06 months.

B) Footpath 4 (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from its junction with Pound Close to its junction with Footpath 57, Lyneham and Bradenstoke

to enable clearance of existing footpaths, installation of new tactile crossings, installation of hoggin footway and slurry footway. Alternative route via existing highways and rights of way.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 25 May 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 03 June 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (MALMESBURY AND MALMESBURY WITHOUT) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT NO.9) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in the Malmesbury and Malmesbury Without Consolidation Order 2017 by revoking Map Schedule Nos AX41 and AY40 dated 21/08/2017 and replacing them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos AX41 and AY40 to effect which will be to introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road:

• Dark Lane – north side – from a point in line with the eastern property building edge of No.1 Dark Lane for a distance of approximately 3 metres in an easterly direction;

• Dark Lane – north side – from a point approximately 17 metres west of the eastern building edge of No.1 Dark Lane for a distance of approximately 5 metres in an easterly direction;

• Hudson Road – south east – the carriageway radius between the access to No.15-18 Hudson Road and the access to the rear of No.41 Bristol Street.

Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Malmesbury Library, 24 Cross Hayes, Malmesbury during the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday, 9.30am-5pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.30am-7pm Friday and 9.30am-1pm Saturday until 15 June 2026.
