What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 150261801 : The City of Manchester (Wilbraham Road, Chorlton Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Wilbraham Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilbraham Road, Edge Lane, High Lane, Barlow Moor Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate remedial works to the carriageway. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 7th June 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 7th June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 25th May 2026.

ORDER NO. MCC000 150152472 : The City of Manchester (Kincardine Road, Ardwick Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to. prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Kincardine Road, from Brunswick Street to Arkley Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a Sewer Connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 8th June 2026 to 6th July 2026.The order shall come into operation on 8th June 2026and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
