A34 TRUNK ROAD - LODGE HILL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Oxfordshire under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 owing to the risk to the public caused by a change in layout of the road and alignment of the road surface. The effect of the Order would be to prohibit any vehicle from making a right turn from the top of the southbound off-slip northbound into Oxford Road, or to use the dedicated filter lane for the purpose thereof, at Lodge Hill Junction (A4183), at any time.

These measures would be in the interests of road safety. It is expected that the provision would last for approximately 6 months starting on or after Thursday 11th June 2026. The Order would come into force on 11th June 2026 (as an extension of existing Temporary Notice E659, which it thereby replaces) and have a maximum duration of eighteen months,

ceasing when the danger is resolved. Please visit National Highways website for closure details. Traffic affected by the prohibition would be diverted southbound on the A4183 to Twelve Acre Road roundabout and return.

The temporary closure and diversion route would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the danger period.

Ian Rosendaal, an Official of National Highways Limited.
