(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2026
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

This order is being introduced to manage traffic in the interest of public safety for the Cereals Arable Trade Show to be held on 10-11 June 2026 at Diddly Squat Farm, Chadlington OX7 3PE and is promoted by Cereals Fruit Focus UK Ltd, Holt Hall, Holt Lane, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3LY. Anticipated attendance 10,000-14,000 people each day. The effect of the order is to temporarily restrict access, waiting and vehicle speeds in the area as follows:
From 00:01hrs 26 May to 23:59hrs 11 June.
Mill End, from Burford Road to Upper Court – Road closed to westbound traffic only
From 00:01hrs 10 June to 23:59hrs 11 June
Road closure:
1. From the A361 to Sarsden Road, Churchill – closure at junction with Burford Road
Chipping Norton Road, 540m from the junction with Burford Road, access maintained for residents and local traffic only
No Waiting and No Loading/unloading:
Burford Road from Pludicote Lane to West Street
Chipping Norton Road from Burford Road to Chadlington, and access only road closure
Cox’s Lane from the A44 to Lidstone Road
2. Mill End from Burford Road to Upper Court, and road closure
3. Old London Road Entire Length, and closed at junction with Burford Road
One-Way street:
4. Lidstone Road Entire Length, direction westbound only
– No entry from Charlbury Road.
5. Old London Road Entire Length – westbound use for access only. No entry from Burford Road except for local access to properties located 250m from the junction with Burford Road.
Rural Footpath restricted:
Footpath No.154/1/30 (west of Chipping Norton Road) which crosses the car park will be managed by marshals.
30mph speed reduction to enable setting up event
(outside the existing 20mph limits):
From 00:01hrs 26 May to 23:59hrs 11 June.
In all the above lengths of road, and in:
Charlbury Road, from 1000m south of Lidstone Road to Burford Road.
Alternative routes:
1. Diversion via road from A361 at Skew Plantation to Kennels Belt, Sarsden
2. diversion via Chipping Norton Road, Burford Road
3. diversion via Burford Road, Charlbury Road
4. diversion via Charlbury Road, Taston Road, B4022.
Exemptions are included for emergency services. Access to properties on affected roads shall be maintained via diversion routes, or through managed access at closure points.
