(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the length of highway set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the length of highway is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable National Grid to carry out excavation works and the Highway Authority to carry out any maintenance works resulting therefrom in the highway.
The Order will come into force on 1st June 2026 and shall continue in force for a period of six months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.
It is estimated the works will take 2 weeks to complete.
SCHEDULE
Graig Y Darren footpath will be closed from its junction with Golwg Y Mynydd in a southerly direction for a distance of 35m along its length.
The alternate route for pedestrians will be via Golwg Y Mynydd.
