Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53, 81, 82(1) & (2) (b), 83(2) and Parts IV and III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

1. To Implement: a ‘20mph Zone’ (Currently a 30mph Speed limit)

Notice is hereby given that under Section 90(A-F) of the Highways Act 1980 and The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, Essex County Council proposes to implement two Raised Speed Tables on the following length of road in the Borough of Basildon

5. To Implement: Raised Tables on the following lengths of road,

Coxes Farm Road, Billericayi. From a point approximately 17 metres north east of its junction with A129 Southend Road, north east for approximately 6.5 metres

ii. From a point approximately 120.5 metres from its junction with A129 Southend Road, north east for approximately 6.5 metres
The maximum height of the proposed raised table is approximately 100 millimetres, with a gradient of no greater than approximately 1 in 16 or 6.25%.

(High Road, Fobbing) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under S81, 82(1) & (2)(b), 83(2), 84(1)(a) and (2), and Parts IV and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)

Effect of the order: To Implement: a ‘30mph Speed Limit’ (Currently De-restricted)

High Road, FobbingFrom a point approximately 32 metres south of its junction with Maple Drive (the access road to the development known as ‘Maple Creek’), southwards for approximately 108 metres, to the Essex and Thurrock boundary line.
‘The Borough of Thurrock, (Rural Road Speed Reduction) (30 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2019’ is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to that length of High Road, Fobbing, from its junction with the Five Bells Roundabout, southwards for approximately 470 metres, to the Essex and Thurrock boundary line. All other restrictions not mentioned shall continue in force.

This Order will come into operation on: 25 May 2026

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Barrow Hall Road, Little Wakering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barrow Hall Road, Little Wakering in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 415m north east then south east of the junction with Barling Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th June 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGPJPN5V – Openreach Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Barrow Hall Road, Little Wakering Road, Southend Road, Silchester Corner, Barling Road, Barrow Hall Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Endeavour Drive, Pipps Hill Industrial) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Endeavour Drive, Pipps Hill Industrial in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 220m north east of its junction with Festival Way for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st June 2026 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MG08080604PH2 – O2 (UK) Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while telecom upgrade works are undertaken by O2 (UK) Limited.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Josselin Road, Nevendon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Josselin Road, Nevendon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Wollaston Way for a distance of approximately 215m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402708 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Wollaston Way, Josselin Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Wickford Road, South Woodham Ferrers)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wickford Road, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 95m west then south west of its junction with Burnham Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th June 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEAA3649404SB – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.

An alternative route is available via Wickford Road, A132, Fen Roundabout, A132, Hawk Hill Roundabout, A1245, Rettendon Turnpike, Woodham Road, Wickford Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chelmsford Road, Rayleigh)

(Temporary Introduction of 40 MPH Speed Restriction) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction in that length of road in the District of Rochford as specified in the schedule.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 14th May 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The restriction will be enforced to facilitate each phase of works. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Poynters Lane, Great Wakering in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Wakering Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd June 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGQKJ48YPTSB – Openreach Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Wakering Road, Elm Road, A13, Poynters Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 14th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
