Portsmouth City Council (Cow Lane) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.93) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th May 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
COW LANE
From its junction with Medina Road for 30 metres.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Openreach works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th May 2026 to 29th May 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Cow Lane, Northarbour Road, Western Road, Portsbridge Roundabout, Northern Road, Medina Road Roundabout, Medina Road, and Medina Road, Medina Road Roundabout, Northern Road, Wayte Street, Portsbridge Roundabout, Western Road, Lakeshore Drive, Northarbour Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
