What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, by virtue of the powers conferred on it by Article 8A of and Schedule 3A to the Road
Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, is minded to make an order to temporarily restrict or prohibit all traffic from using the following roads in
accordance with details in the schedule hereby to facilitate a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon running event by RunThrough Events. Where necessary, local
diversions will be in operation and signed as appropriate.

Hillsborough Race Diversions: Lisburn Street, Lisburn Road, Ballynahinch Road, Carnreagh Road, Dromore Road, Old Coach Road and the A1.
Marshalls will be working to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum but drivers travelling to and from the race must exercise caution. Please note
that some buses running along the Half Marathon and 10K routes may be affected during race times.
A copy of the application and route map may be inspected, by appointment, free of charge at Civic Headquarters, Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27
4RL.
Persons wishing to make representation to the Council regarding the proposals, may make representation in writing to the Environmental Health Service
Unit, Civic Headquarters, Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL by 4pm on Thursday 5 June 2026. Representations made after this date will not be
considered.
