Order 2026

The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 56 metre length of Thorpe Road lay-by to the front of the properties know as Briarwood, Stratford, Bylands and Burnside, off A1086, Little Thorpe to enable carriageway reconstruction works to be undertaken. An alternative route will not be available to vehicular traffic, but traffic will be managed locally during working hours. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on Monday 8/6/2026 and the duration of the works are anticipated to be 3 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
