Dumfries & Galloway - Traffic And Planning Notices

(VARIOUS ROADS SANQUHAR – SANQUHAR TOLBOOTH WORKS) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDERS) ORDER 1 & 2 2026

The Council has made Order(s) under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on the U303n South Lochans/Queens Rd and U305n McKendrick Rd from 21:00 on 31/05/26 until 17:00 on 10/07/26. A temporary 7.5t (except for access) restriction has also been installed on Blackaddie Rd and the C125s between Blackaddie Rd and A76(T) Eliock Bridge from 09:30 on 01/06/26 until 17:00 on 10/07/26. 

A temporary one-way system will also be in force on the C133n Holestane Road between the A702 and A76(T). 

The effect of which will be access only from A702 from 09:30 on 01/06/26 until 10/07/26. The restrictions are necessary to facilitate diverted traffic in conjunction with the closure of the A76(T) at Sanquhar Tolbooth. A76(T) is managed by Transport Scotland and have granted closure from 09:30 on 01/06/26 until 17:00 on 10/07/26 for the purpose of safely carrying out building repairs to Sanquhar Tolbooth.

U619N ARMOUR DRIVE
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close Phase A: U619n Armour Drive, Dumfries from Glencairn Road to the hammerhead from 0800 on 01/06/26 to 1800 on 14/06/26.

Phase B: U619n Armour Drive, Dumfries between Glencairn Road and Afton Drive from 0800 on 15/06/26 to 1800 on 28/06/26. Phase C: U619n Armour Drive, Dumfries from Ellisland Drive to end of cul-de-sac from 0800 on 29/06/26 to 1800 on 12/07/26.

The closure is necessary to facilitate service connections in relation to new housing development. Alternative route available via Phase A - Via Glencairn Road, Armour Drive, Afton Drive, Golf Avenue and vice versa. 

Phase B – Via Glencairn Road, Armor Drive, Golf Avenue, Afton Drive and vice versa. Phase C – No alternative route available. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U376N HOLM ROAD) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U376n Holm Road, Dunscore from 0800 to 1600 on 04/06/26. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate emptying of public septic tank. 

Alternative route available via B729, C37n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U399N DUNREGGAN BRAE) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U399n Dunreggan Brae, Moniaive from its junction with A702 to the substation in carpark from 08:00 on 01/06/2026 to 17:00 on 12/06/2026. 

During these works, there may be times when access will be prohibited in the carpark. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate new power cable installation to substation. 

Alternative route available via A702, C119n, U399n and vice versa.

Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U439N NIVISTON ROAD) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U439n Niviston Road from No. 21 to turning area at road end from 0800 on 01/06/2026 to 1500 on 16/04/2027. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate a site compound and utility connections and form access to new building development. 

No alternative route available. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained heading towards Kingsway but access to Guffock Road will not be maintained.

(U526N ANDERSON STREET) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U526n Anderson Street at its junction with McConnel Street, Kelloholm from 0930 on 03/06/26 to 0700 on 04/06/26. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate Scottish Water ironwork repair. 

Alternative route available via Greystone Avenue, Glengaber Avenue, Hyslop Street and vice versa. 

Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
