ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 149779955 : The City of Manchester (Chapelfield Rd, River St & Rachel St, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Chapelfield Road from Hoyle St to River St, on River St from Chapelfield Rd to Rachel St & on Rachel St from River St to Hoyle St.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Mayfield development works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 25th May 2026 to 24th November 2027.
The order shall come into operation on 25th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
