What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Violet Way, Yaxley Temporary Prohibition of
Through Traffic – Order 2026-20382

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along

Violet Way, Yaxley as lies between Freesia Way & Primrose Drive. The alternative route for vehicles is via Violet Way; B1091; Jasmin Way & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe relay & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 23/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 22/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23/6 & 25/6/26.

Askews Lane & Leading Drove, Yaxley
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic –
Order 2026-20453

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Askews Lane & Leading Drove, Yaxley as lies between No.8 & the Football Club. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate installation of ducting & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 29/6/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/12/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29/6 & 10/7/26.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
