Halifax Road, Bradford - Temporary Road Closure due to Telecommunication Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

HALIFAX ROAD, BRADFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works proposed to be executed on or near Halifax Road, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Halifax Road from its junction with Odsal roundabout to its junction with Hatton Close (one side closure only).

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Odsal Road, Holroyd Hill, High Street, Smith Avenue, Halifax Road (unaffected section) and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 31st May 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 31st May 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
