THE A19 TRUNK ROAD (KNAYTON INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A19 Trunk Road, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable local authority fibre-optic installation works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on 16 June 2026 for 3 days, or until completed, and will take place between 8am and 6pm.
The effect of the Notice will be to close the A19 northbound exit slip road at Knayton Interchange, during which a suitably signed alternative route will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 15 June 2026 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
