(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close sections of:-
(i) Public Footpath No 1586, from its southern end at its junction with Barthlomew Way (519409, 133105), north-eastwards to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 1585 (519986, 133615), approximately 841M; and
(ii) Public Footpath No 3565, in its entirety from its western end (519754, 133084) to its eastern end ( 519779, 133095), approximately 27M.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to works on the footpaths.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order came into effect on 8 June 2026 and will last for 6 months. It is anticipated works will be completed by 11 September 2026.

(Henfield: Furners Lane)
(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, WSCC intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Furners Lane adjacent to properties ‘Badgers’ and ‘Summerfields’.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst new gas connections are made.
The Order will come into effect on 8 June 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 8 June 2026 and the road will be closed daily between 0800 and 1600 hours for 9 days.

(Cowfold: Fairfield Cottages)
(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close a length of Fairfield Cottages adjacent to Fairfield Court.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electrical connection works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 27 May 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is proposed works will start on or after 27 May 2026 between 0800 and 1800hours daily and will take 4 weeks to complete.
