The Council on 15/5/2026 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 223 metre length of Waldridge Lane, Chester-Le-Street from the junction with Waldridge Road at the south eastern side of the closure in a north westerly direction towards the junction with Cartmel Court to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken throughout the period of the closure, no alternative diversion to vehicular traffic will be available. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on Tuesday 26/5/2026 and are anticipated to be completed in 4 days, between 9am-3pm daily. On occasions alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
