What is happening?

Traffic 
The County of Cornwall (Infra24-381) (Falmouth) (Various Roads) (Speed Limit) (Revocation, Consolidation and Amendment) Order 2026 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cornwall Council proposes to make the above Order to regulate traffic in Falmouth. The effect is to amend speed limits along the lengths of road described below. The roads affected by the Order are listed below according to the applicable new speed limit restrictions along their respective lengths. 

It is also intended to digitise and consolidate other speed limits in various existing Orders. 

This is part of highway infrastructure improvements to create a shared use path for pedestrians and cyclists which includes proposed traffic calming (raised table) under the provisions of Sections 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980. 

The effect will be to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety along the length of road described below. Copies of the relevant documents are available for public inspection during normal office hours at Reception, New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY.

Bickland Hill; Bickland Water Road; Bosmeor Road. 

Raised table 
Mongleath Road 1.No raised table (east of junction with Bickland Water Road) to be laid along the carriageway, having a rise of 75mm and extending the full width of carriageway. 

The stated horizontal and vertical dimensions are subject to permitted pavement construction tolerances.
