What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(GUN QUARTER BIRMINGHAM) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council have made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53,101 and 102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to: 1. Revoke the “Birmingham City Council (Gun Quarter Birmingham) (Controlled Parking Zone) Order 1999”.

2. Immediately and without any change of substance, re-enacts the same restrictions into the new Order named above.

The Order will come into operation on 22nd May 2026.

If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order may within 6 weeks from the 21st May 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council propose to make this Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53,101 and 102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) the effect of which will be to amend and formalise waiting and loading restrictions within lengths of SHADWELL STREET, VESEY STREET and WILLIAM BOOTH LANE

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Director – Infrastructure and Sustainability, Place, Prosperity & Sustainability Directorate, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 14439, Birmingham B2 2JE stating the grounds for objection by the 11th of June 2026
