Alternative Route: (A23) Brighton Road, Victoria Road, and Massetts Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Bower Hill Lane (D355) South Nutfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Bower Hill Lane (D355) South Nutfield. Alternative Route: Clay Lane, and Hogtrough Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of compound works for, or on behalf of Octavius Infrastructure Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 20 weeks, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Partridge Lane (C60) Newdigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and equestrians) from entering or proceeding in that length of Partridge Lane (C60) Newdigate that is crossed over by the bridge known “Beam Brook Bridge” and for a distance of 10 metres either side.
Alternative Route: Partridge Lane, Parkgate Road, Village Street, Rusper Road, and Partridge Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate bridge strengthening works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 June 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
East Hill (A25) Oxted
Temporary Speed Limit Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of East Hill (A25) Oxted as extends from its junction with (D424) Woodhurst Lane and for a distance of 130 metres in both directions.
This Temporary Speed Limit Order is required to facilitate full traffic signal refurbishment works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 months, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Temporary Traffic Management Order 2026
On 15 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hare Lane (D374) Blindley Heath as extends from its junction with Eastbourne Road (A22) to the access for Muddle Cottage; and
2. impose a maximum speed of 30mph on that length of Eastbourne Road (A22) Blindley Heath as extends from a point 40 metres south of the centreline of its junction with Bannisters Croft (X10205) to a point 80 metres south of the centres line of its junction with Crockers Lane (X34085).
Alternative route – 1. Hare Lane, Brickhouse Lane, Bone Lane, B2028 (West Park Road) and A22 (Eastbourne Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate micro substation installation, overhead reinforcement works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 June 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and speed limit, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route – Fairfax Avenue (anti-clockwise only), Station Road, Linkfield Corner, Hatchlands Road, Blackborough Road, The Chase and Whitepost Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate new service connections and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 June 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 15 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Road (C134) Banstead as extends the access for “Banstead Place” and the access for “Apsley House”; and
2. suspend “The Surrey County Council C134 Park Road Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it related to 1.
Alternative route – Park Road, B2219 (Holly Lane and Bolters Lane) and B2217 (High Street), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new service connection and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 3 June 2026 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 20 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D335 Lodge Lane, Salfords.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach/ Morrison Telecom Services Limited to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works outside “Sunnymead”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 May 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives.
Alternative route:- Clockwise – Bonehurst Road, Balcombe Road, Brighton Road, Horley Row and Meath Green Lane. Anticlockwise – Meath Green Lane, Horley Row, Brighton Road and Bonehurst Road.
High Street (D2536) and East Street (D2557) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) High Street (D2536) Bookham as extends from the common boundary between 47 and 49 High Street to the common boundary between 24 and 22 High Street; and (b) East Street (D2557) Bookham as extends from its junction with Leatherhead Road (A246) to the southern boundary of Royston.
Alternative route – Lower Road, Eastwick Road and A246 (Leatherhead Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 June 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Street (B269) Limpsfield as extends from the northern boundary of The Old Court House to the northern boundary of Sandstones.
Alternative route – B269 (High Street), A25 (Westerham Road), B2025 (Detillens Lane) and B269 (High Street), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 June 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood as extends from the access for Russ Hill Cottages to the access for Welling Barn Farm.
Alternative route – Russ Hill Road, Rectory Lane, Norwood Hill Road, Stan Hill, Blanks Lane, Partridge Lane and Charlwood Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate electrical work and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 June 2026 for 1 week between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Lower Road (D265) Great Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lower Road (D265) Great Bookham as extends from its junction with Middlemead Road (D2611) and its junction with Childs Hall Road (D2532).
Alternative route – Lower Road, Little Bookham Street and Church Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 June 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chipstead Station Parade (D1078) Chipstead as extends from its junction with Lackford Road (D1078) and its junction with Station Approach (X68734) as it heads northbound towards the station.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 June 2026 for 2 weeks between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sheephouse Lane (D285) Wotton as extends from its junction with (A25) Guildford Road to its junction with (D285) Sheephouse Green.
Alternative Route: (A25) Guildford Road, Hollow Lane, Abinger Lane, Leith Hill Road, Sheephouse Lane, Damphurst Lane, and Sheephouse Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom spine cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Flanchford Road (C58) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D310) Trumpets Hill Road to its junction with (C223) Clayhall Lane.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lackford Road (D1078) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1078) Chipstead Station Parade to a point in line with the common boundary between property No. 06 and property No.08 Lackford Road.
Alternative Route: Station Approach, (B2032) Outwood Lane, and Lackford Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains gas connection works for, or on behalf of SGN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates and trench links, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Salmons Lane West (C227) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1452) Victor Beamish Avenue to its junction with (X67646) Rosebriars.
Alternative Route: Buxton Lane, Burntwood Lane, and Whyteleafe Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate sewer repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 7pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 June 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Public Path Diversion Order 2026
The above order, made on 14 May 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will, if confirmed, divert Footpath 72 (Abinger) running from O.S.Grid Ref. 512453 138979 in a north westerly turning to westerly direction for 268 metres to O.S. Grid Ref. 152222 139123, to a line running from the same point in a west north westerly direction for 226 metres to O.S.Grid Ref. 512235 139068 turning to a northerly direction for 56 metres to O.S. Grid Ref.152222 139123, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel. 0300 200 1003) at Surrey County Council Offices, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford (between 10.00am and 4.00pm from Monday to Friday) and at Mole Valley District Council, Pippbrook, Dorking RH4 1SJ, during normal office hours and at Dorking Library, St Martin’s Walk, Dorking RH4 1UT, during opening hours.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made, are withdrawn, Surrey County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.
If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations, which have not been withdrawn, will be sent with the Order.
