HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(Temporary Closing Of Anstey Road, Anstey) Order 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the length of Anstey Road, Anstey from its junction with Anstey Public Footpath No.11 south eastwards to its junction with Anstey Public Footpath No.006A, a distance of approximately 337m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via: Anstey Road, C11 (unnamed road), Mill Lane, C10 (unnamed road) and Anstey Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 27 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
